Andrew Kluge makes racing debut

Bolton entrepreneur Andrew Kluge made his Motorsport debut for Absolute Racing last week at a sunny Oulton Park in a Van Diemen RF01 Formula Ford.

Andrew, the Managing Director of the Supercover Group, based in Farnworth Bolton had never even sat in a race car before the lights turned green at the start of the test day.

It was a very professional and accomplished day for Andrew who put in some good laps as he gained some much-needed experience.  Although it could have been a different story has the MSA not been able to fax a copy of his licence over to Oulton Park as the excited first time driver left his licence at his home in Manchester!!!!

So after a slight delay in making his debut he set about learning how to be a racing driver.

Team boss Chris Hodgen was impressed with his drive “It was a tough day for Andrew but he drove with a great deal of maturity and composure as he took to the circuit with most of the National Formula Ford drivers so he was in tough company. But he brought the car home intact and continued to take chucks of time off every time he came past the start finish line”

Andrew now heads to Snetterton for his second test before he makes his race debut at the same circuit on Easter weekend.
